Aeranthos

One of the hardiest air plants, Aeranthos can tolerate lower temperatures than some other varieties. A reliable ‘bloomer’, it will flower every year, the flower bracts are ruby red and the flared petals of the flowers are often such a deep purple that they can seem black. It does not produce many offsets, but after a few years in the right conditions can form an attractive clump. Good for beginners and seasoned growers alike.
