Plants Make People Happy

There is such a thing as January Blues. Cold, dark, post-Christmas anticlimax, it’s all true.

But there is hope!  The days are just ever so slightly getting longer with hints of better things to come.  It seems that our natural instincts are affected by nature, and happily plants are a positive influence on us. There is plenty of research done by clever people in white coats who seem to agree that plants make people happy.

All I can say is that I know that spirits can be lifted by the scent of a rose, fresh cut grass, Spring bulbs appearing or seeds breaking through the compost.  At this time of year, I would recommend visiting garden centres to see what we have to look forward to.

Here on the nursery we have a great deal to be happy about, this week we have been extremely busy spreading our bit of Air Plant joy by sending orders out to garden centres from top to toe of the country.  Air Plants are an ideal houseplant for this time of year, whether it’s one of our ready made settings or if you want to create something yourself.  Chuck out the droopy Pointsettia left over from Christmas and try something new!
