Well Being

‘Grow Through It’… Not ‘Go Through It’

Posted: March 31, 2020

When everyday life as we know it changes as quickly as the last few weeks it is unsettling and, at times, frightening.  It’s OK to not be OK.

With a little more time on our hands than we anticipated there are lots of small wins we can achieve everyday to come out the other side of this stronger than before.  We can ‘Grow Through It’ not ‘Go Through It’.

Of course this could take many forms, getting fit, spring cleaning, being creative, learning something new… or maybe even writing your first blog post in over a year (!).

For me, I will try to do a little of each.  More literally though, I will be Growing Through It.  Last week I sowed my first lot of seeds for the year, and they are already giving me a little boost each day!  The suspense… and finally green shoots.  Something to look forward to.

From growing cress on the windowsill, houseplants, a single sunflower, to veggies for an allotment or patio the connection with nature and plants can help reduce stress and create a feeling of well-being.  We could all use that.

In an ideal world in a few weeks time we will be stronger, kinder, better… with fantastic gardens and indoor houseplant jungles! Grow Through It.
